Students in the Center for Teacher Education (CTE) complete three phases on their path to becoming licensed teachers:

  1. Apply to the CTE Program after completing introductory education coursework, typically near the end of the sophomore year.
  2. Apply to Student Teaching after completing required observation and methods courses.
  3. Apply for Teacher Licensure as you approach graduation.

Our resource pages provide detailed information about each step, and CTE staff and faculty are here to support you throughout the process.
