Eileen Woolwine has more than 25 years of experience in nursing, including 14 years as an intensive care nurse specializing in strokes, trauma, and open-heart cases. She has a particular interest in sepsis care, which she considers a favorite area of practice.
For the past 11 years, she has taught in both North Dakota and at Colorado Mesa University, where she currently teaches courses in Pharmacology and Critical Care. She brings to her teaching the same dedication and compassion she gives her patients, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment for her students.
Her teaching philosophy centers on the belief that learning is most effective in a non-hostile atmosphere. She incorporates humor and fun into her classrooms because she knows humor plays a huge role in recovery after illness or injury.
